Cloudy Pool water and Chlorine Tablets

What causes cloudy pool water

All pool owners are aware that the ideal balance of upkeep and chemicals is required to achieve and maintain crystal-clear, sparkling clean water and avoid cloudy pool water. But selecting the right type of chlorine might be challenging. Pool maintenance is undoubtedly a science, but that doesn't mean it has to be difficult.

Cloudy pool water can be caused by several reasons and certain types of chlorine tablets are one of them. It is important to choose the right type of chlorine tablet to avoid algae and cloudy pool water. Chlorine tabs consist of stabilized chlorine and other ingredients to keep your chlorine protected from the sun’s rays, and inert ingredients that do nothing to help the process.

Chlorine prices have skyrocketed, so it is very tempting to purchase chlorine from a discount store. Just remember to always make sure that your chlorine is at least 90% active with no binders or fillers. You many think that you are getting a deal, but those binders and fillers can easily cause cloudy pool water. Now your next trip is to the pool store to spend more money to get rid of the cloudiness in your pool. So, there is no saving here. The best way to disperse the chlorine tabs is to put them in a float. This way is great because you are constantly chlorinating your pool even when the pump is turned off. Never put them in your skimmer.

The Circulator is the best way to get the most out of your chlorine by thrusting your chlorinated pool water down to the floor of your pool and throughout your entire pool.
